I’m a dynamic writer and journalist with a passion for synthesizing ideas, innovation and culture. I can write about anything if given the proper research tools. I’m also a skilled editor and have experience with multiple platforms and several subjects; to me, it’s not necessarily subject matter expertise that dictates a writer’s or editor’s success, but the ability to interpret gathered content knowledge and produce something creative, stunning and intriguing for your audience. A background in both journalism and marketing has allowed me to hone my skills and challenge myself to work with unexpected content and products. I want to work for a company or publication that provides opportunities for me to grow as a writer and editor, as well as an individual; I’d prefer to work with fresh content that’s purpose is to tell the story of a brand or business.

I wrote and edited all of the copy for Armasight Night Vision Technology’s website, and edited all of their operation and instruction manuals, too. My Contently page showcases the majority of my freelance work, but if you’d like to go internetting instead, my latest professional writing can be found in Poor Taste Magazine. I’ve also recently taken up a part-time blogging gig at California Home + Design.

Here are a couple of short copy writing samples I did for Cengage Learning:

– Sharf’s Theories of Psychotherapy & Counseling: Concepts and Cases, 5th Edition, ©2012

– Ashford & LeCroy’s Human Behavior in the Social Environment: A Multidimensional Perspective, 5th Edition, ©2013

– Kirst-Ashman’s Introduction to Social Work & Social Welfare: Critical Thinking Perspectives, 4th Edition, ©2013

As of February 2013, I do social media management, a little bit of blogging, and provide PR support at Mindjet in SF. Check out the blog or follow us on Twitter. 🙂
